Be "easy" while being busy
I recently noticed how busy I’ve become and the busyness that surrounds my life. one thing after another, one project after another, one assignment after another, one thought after another - there’s just so much happening. have I filled my life and days with way too many things? Maybe yes. But I do enjoy everything I’m doing despite the busyness.
Is the busyness good? How much is too much? Should I cut down on some things? But then which ones? I don’t know.
I know for many of us, this is the way of life. For some, it’s way more than others.
I guess “Doing” gives meaning to our lives. “Action” is needed to live a fulfilling life. I remind myself that my newsletter is called “Love, Action & Miracles”. If you’ve not read why I chose to call it by this name, read more here.
As I type these words, I am doing an action. And I love this. I know once I’m done with the writing, I’ll go back to my office work, attending to the long list of my to-dos. I do enjoy that as well.
We all have our own individual reasons for being busy, very busy or less busy. Maybe it’s the circumstances that call for the state we find ourselves in. Maybe we would have chosen otherwise if given a choice. Or maybe, it is the choice we have made. Nothing is good or bad or better or worse than others. Who are we to judge that!
Frankly, I don’t know if busyness is good or bad. And perhaps that’s not a right question at all. A better question might be “who are we while being busy?” Are we irritated, annoyed, stressed out and angry while being busy OR are we calm, peaceful, focused, attentive and happy while being busy? I certainly get very irritated sometimes and stressed out sometimes. And as I just wrote those questions, I definitely want to be in the latter category!
I guess we do have the power and the choice to be in that category.
The Invitation
Notice how busy or less busy your day is going to be. Imagine yourself looking at your long list of to-dos and working on those to-dos. Now make a conscious choice to be “easy” about being busy and to be “easy” while being busy. And see how you flow through the day! Might be too easy to say or write than practicing it in real life, but definitely possible. It will need another post to explore ways to be “easy” - more to come!
Have a miraculous day ahead!
With joy & gratitude,
Namrita
